MFA Program Celebrates Graduating Students

We are proud to announce that five of our graduate students have completed their MFA programs. This special group of five have had very busy personal lives (working, teaching, starting new jobs, moving, having babies!) and still found time and energy to work on their research and complete their thesis. Once again, the title of each student’s thesis reflects the many ways communication design skills are utilized to solve complex questions. The students and their research titles are:

Sean Barnes – “Reimaging the Artist Book for the Mobile Age”

Maria Beane – “Typefication: A Learning Tool for Teaching Typography to the Digital Native”

Gram Garner – “Reshaping the Political Conversation in Austin, Texas: Designing a Collaborative System of Communicating Between Citizen and Government”

Kelley Harber – “Branding Importance in Municipalities: Rebranding the City of San Marcos, Texas”

Anna Shelton – “Subscription-based Online Trend Forecasting Tool for Graphic Designers”
