The new @MakereadyPod podcast features candid interviews with some of the worlds best designers.

Duncan Robertson, alumni of the MFA Communication Design program, would like to extend a special invitation to Texas State’s Communication Design students and faculty to check out the recently launched Makeready podcast, which features forthright conversations between Duncan and some of the world’s best designers.

Episodes one through three featuring Armin Vit, Christian Helms, and Garth Walker are now available online at makereadypodcast.com and on iTunes. New episodes are released weekly on Monday morning.

Makeready has accumulated praise from interviewees and designers who have supported the projects development:
“Duncan’s interviews veer into the circumstances that made any one person become or stay a graphic designer: how they got into it, why they stayed on it, how do they survive and deal with it as a business, not just the “fun” profession many other people think we have.”
—Armin Vit, UnderConsideration Llc.

Makeready is the culmination of ten years as a design autodidact and three years of graduate school for Duncan, all spent looking for answers about the grubby bits of professional design practice.

The podcast and its host, Duncan Robertson, are based in Austin, Texas. To learn more about Makeready, please visit: www.makereadypodcast.com.
