Summer II semester is winding down and summer graduation is approaching. Graduation ceremonies are one of my favorite events here on campus. Our MFA students work so hard to complete the 60 credit hour program, while dealing with jobs, family, moving, car troubles, and all the other “real” world trials and tribulations.
Thesis research and writing is the big final challenge. It takes a great deal of self initiative and perseverance. Two of our MFA students have completed their thesis and received final approval from the Graduate College for summer:
Mike Bulsiewicz thesis is “An Exploration of the Environmental Brand (EBE) as Applied to the Digital Publishing Model”.
Danna Kenney’s thesis is “Creative Beyond the Desktop: Environmental Sustainability Redesign of Packaging for Adobe Systems Inc Creative Software”.
The College of Fine Arts & Communication Commencement is Friday, August 9 at 2pm. We will have our hooding ceremony at noon in JCM 2121. Food & beverage will be offered in the MFA Studio prior to the hooding ceremony. This is the time for family, friends, faculty, and staff to celebrate the success of these students and wish them luck on their future endeavors!
